My art and the way in which I manifest my creative self has always been centered on transformation, tending towards strong feelings of renewal and rebirth. This made itself known to me very clearly after the death of my daughter in 1996, her death being a pivotal turning point in my life. From this time onwards making art was all I wanted to do, indeed it kept me floating in times of deep sorrow and grief.
Over the years my art has developed as I have understood and accepted that there is something greater than my own being working through me, making manifest that which is unseen. As I became more deeply involved with the unfolding of my spiritual path I was led into the ways of the Holy Mother, the Divine feminine aspect of life itself. It was not by chance that my soul’s mission really came home to me when through synchronicity I encountered The Art of Allowing courses initiated by Flora Aube.
What had previously been an inner thought now became something real and tangible. I embraced it with my heart and knew that this was what I wanted to do. To facilitate in others a connection to the Divine feminine energy that we have been disconnected from and so badly need in today’s patriarchal and masculine world.
Tapping into this vital female energy through art is the empowering force that I work with today. Creativity, intuition, imagination exist in all of us at every moment, waiting in our inner world to be tapped into and released, as and when we make demand of it. It’s our belief about ourselves that guides our perceptions on how we see ourselves as creators and how we relate to the world around us. I work with accessing this ever-present feminine flow that is so intrinsic to human life, enabling others to experience the abundant magic within.
I have an education in interpersonal skills and behavior therapy and have worked with personal development for over 30 years as a facilitator in Assertiveness training and women’s sexuality. I am well accustomed to working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds and skilled in recognizing repetitive patterns that hide our potential. For some years now I have been holding creative classes in my studio for adults and children where I have developed a flow technique enabling those who attend to discoverer their inner artist.
Before I discovered the Art of Allowing, I worked extensively and prolifically with collage in a mixed-media setting. To see examples of my other work please visit LizzDaniels.com
